A Mother’s Day Prayer

To all mothers

My prayer today is for all those who’ve lost their mother.

No matter young or old, I know death is something our earthly minds can’t seem to understand.

Dear Lord may you comfort them today.

I pray for all those who have lost their grandmothers.

For they are gone and we are left with sorrow and grief.

May you turn our sadness into joy.

I pray for all the mothers who have to spend their Mother’s Day in the hospital.

By your stripes they are healed.

I pray for all those whose mothers are behind bars.

May you deliver them today.

I pray for those who walk the hard path of infertility.

May you fill their hearts with hope and secure them with peace.

I pray for all those who aren’t able to see their kids today due to legal separation or other.

May you protect their kids and let them know that there is no distance in love.

I pray for all those who would have been mothers but for various reasons felt like abortion was the only option.

May you take away their guilt and fill their void today.

I pray for all those who are unable to financially support their kids so felt like adoption was the best decision.

May you provide for them today.

I pray for all those who’ve experienced the pain of a miscarriage.

May you in your perfect timing bless their wombs again.

I pray for all the teenage mothers struggling and confused.

May you take care of them today.

I pray for all those who have never met their biological mothers.

May you teach them how to love anyway.

And I pray for all those expecting/mothers-to be.

May you bless them with safe deliveries and healthy babies.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Mothering is not for the faint of heart.

For my mother – May I inherit half your strength.

To all mothers you are appreciated. You are loved. You are irreplaceable.

Have a good read and let me know what you think?

This is the newest addition to my blog! “Psyche me out Kay” is similar to “KayReads” – The reading corner. This section, however, focuses on giving you, the reader, a Scientific view of each topic I blog about. You don’t have to take my word for it, just click on the links that I’ll be posting from various Psychology Today journals and get an objective view on things.

Lets see what Clinical Psychologist Dr. Stephan Poulter had to say about “The five mother types”

Hope you enjoy!

  1. I love it! We often forget to pray for the struggle of others. God favoured the oppressed – the widows, fatherless, the poor. Be a blessing to all. Amen.
